VALLEY — Dickey-Springer Post 113 has partnered with the Vietnam War 50th commemoration to plan an event to recognize San Luis Valley veterans who served in the military during that era. Legion Post Senior Vice Commander Donna Gates is chairing a committee to plan the event to honor Vietnam era veterans later in the summer. To order lapel pins and certificates, Gates is seeking the names of all San Luis Valley veterans from all military branches, living or deceased, who served between 1958 and 1975, whether or not they were stationed in Vietnam, as well as POWs and MIAs from that time period.
