Nancy Rae Glynn Bogner was born to Raymond and Frances Glynn on October 1, 1949, in Alamosa, Colorado. She was the oldest of seven, having five younger sisters and one younger brother. She passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by family after fighting a debilitating disease for several years. She is preceded in death by her parents, Ray and Frankie, her grandson Ty Wyatt Berryman, her brother-in-law Jeff Woodward and her great-nephew Maverick Mitchell.

Nancy was adored by her family and her favorite times were spent with her kids and grandkids. She loved to talk and laugh with them and didn’t take anything in life too seriously. She always made it a priority for weekly lunch dates with her daughters, sisters and grandkids. She enjoyed Sunday morning breakfast with her sisters and mom. And driving in the mountains with her husband to see the leaves change in the fall. She often got visits and calls from her many nieces and nephews who loved her like a second mother.

Nancy loved people and made friends wherever she went. Acquaintances she had met only a few weeks prior would greet her in the store like she was their long-lost friend. She was the kind of person people liked to talk to and confide in because she was so loving, kind and non-judgmental. She worked at Agro Engineering for 30 years and during that time made so many friends that she continued to talk about and think of long after she retired. When her health problems started she made new friends at each doctor’s visit, always calling the doctors and nurses by name. Even in the hospital, her daughter walked into her room to find her trying to get out of bed to console her roommate who was having a bad day.

Music was one of Nancy’s favorite things and she loved to sing along to the lyrics no matter where she was. From playing the drums in her high school marching band to listening to music on the radio, you would always find her tapping her toes to the beat and singing the lyrics if she knew them. She told her daughter once that if she ever had to choose between seeing and hearing she didn’t know which one she would choose because she loved listening to music so much. Nancy made special connections with her kids and grandkids through music as they would often share their new favorite songs and artist. Even as her memory began to fade and her mind began to falter she could still remember the lyrics to her favorite songs.

Despite her health challenges, Nancy kept the positive attitude she’d had her entire life. She often spoke of how her dad always told her “life is what you make it” and she always chose to make the best of it. Every morning as she looked out the window she would say, “Looks like it’s a beautiful day!” She always looked for the good and pointed it out every time she found it. She was the perfect example of kindness, generosity, forgiveness, and love.

Nancy is survived by her husband Jerry Bogner, her siblings Trudy (Clark) Rogers, Cindy Glynn, Bev (Woody Miller) Glynn, Melanie Woodward, Valerie (Brian) Crowther, and Brian (Pam) Glynn and her children Shannon (Kirk) Jarvies, Cody Berryman, Nicole (Bruce) Anderson, Jerome (Jamie) Bogner and Jessica (Cole Abramson) Bogner along with 15 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.

Cremation was chosen and a Visitation will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. followed by a Memorial Service 11 a.m. Saturday, December 3, 2022, at the Manassa Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
