Former long-time Alamosa resident, Nancy Arney, was born in Boston, Massachusetts, and grew up in Exeter, New Hampshire. She spent the summers of her childhood at her family’s cabin in the mountains of Wyoming. She lived in Alamosa the majority of her adult life, retiring after a career of teaching children at Central Elementary.
Nancy delighted in playing Bridge, Yahtzee, Oh Hell!, Spades, Hearts, Gin, and many other games with friends and family. She loved relaxing with her family at home and in the shade of the cabin’s front porch chatting, visiting, catching up, or doing a puzzle.
Nancy was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Ashley and is survived with great sadness by her brother, Frank (Lorene), her sister, Dorothy; her children, Eric (Debbie), Katie (Shane), Alec (Lori), and Max (Brenda) ; her grandchildren, Joshua, Bethanie, Jake, Martina, and Ben; and her great grandchildren, Austin, Jason, Meghan, Matthew, and Vivian.
