Naomi Elaine Elizabeth Ulibarri, 64

Alamosa resident Naomi Elaine Elizabeth Ulibarri, 64, passed away September 23, 2017 peacefully at her home under Hospice care surrounded by her loving family. Naomi was born on October 15, 1952 in San Antonio, Colorado; the beloved daughter of Alfonso and Priscilla Vigil. Naomi was an amazing mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin and friend. She worked as a food service worker at Adams State University where she later retired from after many years of hard and dedicated service. Naomi was an avid Denver Broncos fan and enjoyed watching the games with her grandchildren. She loved spending time with her sisters, brothers, nieces and nephews. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

Survivors include her daughters Yvonne Vigil (Tracy Archuleta), Andrea Ulibarri (Steve Gurule) both of Alamosa, CO; grandchildren Tiffany (Rick) Marquez of Colorado Springs, CO; Nick Vialpando (Jasmine Lucero) of Alamosa, CO; Audriana (Ernesto) Moreira of Colorado Springs, CO; Dillon Rivera of Colorado Springs, CO; Brooke Rivera of Aurora, CO; Alexander and Alyssa Ulibarri of Alamosa, CO; great-grandchildren Dayna Marquez, Adalina and Sebastian Moreira; sisters Darlene (Johnny) Garcia, Lynette (Harold) Trujillo both of Antonito, CO; Joyce Atencio of Alamosa, CO; brother Larry G. Vigil of Alamosa, CO; very special uncle Willie Valdez of La Jara, CO. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends whom she loved dearly.

Naomi was preceded in death by her parents Alfonso and Priscilla Vigil, one son Burke Ulibarri, sisters Betsy Lopez, Diane Atencio, brother Elmer Vigil and one nephew Gilbert Lopez Jr.

A Vigil Service with Recitation of the Rosary will be held on Friday, September 29, 2017 at 7:00 PM at Our Lady of the Valley Catholic Church. A Mass of the Resurrection will be held on Saturday, September 30, 2017 at 1:00 PM also at Our Lady of the Valley Catholic Church. Interment will follow at the La Jara Cemetery. Viewing and visitation will be held on Friday from 1-5 PM at the Romero Funeral Chapel in Alamosa. The care of arrangements have been entrusted to Romero Funeral Home of Alamosa.
