National Night Out and City Services Fair

ALAMOSA  The City of Alamosa would like to invite the public to Friend’s Park located at the Boys & Girls Club Campus on Tuesday, August 3rd from 3:30 PM to 7:30 PM to celebrate National Night Out and the City Services Fair. National Night Out (NNO) is an annual community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make our neighborhoods safer, more caring places to live. National Night Out hopes to enhance the relationship between neighbors and law enforcement while bringing back a true sense of community. Furthermore, it provides a great opportunity to bring police and neighbors together under positive circumstances. Millions of neighbors take part in National Night Out across thousands of communities.

This year, the City Services Fair will join the NNO to multiply the fun. The City Services Fair is a chance for the community to get to know the various services available through the City, the people behind the organization, and the assorted tools and technology used to “get the job done”. Featured exhibits include a variety of equipment from the Alamosa Fire, Police, Public Works, and Parks departments. Current program and service information will also be available from the Parks, Recreation, Library, and other City Departments. All are welcome to join us for free food, drinks, activities, and more, so bring the kids. For more information, call the Alamosa Family Recreation Center at 719-589-2105 or visit www.alamosarec.org.
