ALAMOSA – The Colorado High School Activities Association released its All-State wrestling teams on Thursday with nine competitors from the San Luis Valley being recognized.

Eight of the locals were male wrestlers.

In Class 3A, Centauri’s Riley Valdez (120) and Josh Polkowske (165), and Alamosa’s Kyler Liddell (150) were all second team selections. Three more locals, Centauri’s Matthew Salazar (106) and Erik Mestas (175), along with Alamosa’s Dempsey Gibbs (120) were all honorable mention.

In Class 2A, Center’s Valadez brothers, Aaron (144) and Jesus (165) were both honorable mention selections.

Alamosa’s Sarah DeLaCerda (110) was named honorable mention All-State among female wrestlers.
