ALAMOSA – The Ninth Annual PTO 2-mile run/1-mile walk and AES K-5 Fall Adult Fun Run will take place April 29 at the Alamosa Elementary School playground.
Registration begins at 8 a.m. and the first run/walk begins at 8:30 a.m.
The entry fee is $20 which includes race and t-shirt. Registrations are due on April 20. Checks are payable to the AES PTO and are to be presented to your student’s teacher.
The PTO will also be selling concessions. All proceeds go to AES PTO, which provides books to students, supplies to teachers, funding for field trips and any other needs of the Alamosa Elementary schools.
Late registrations are accepted, but t-shirts will be limited. Shirts must be picked up on race day.
The schedule is as follows:
Adult/Parent Run/Walk: 8:30 a.m.
Kindergarten girls: 9 a.m.
Kindergarten boys: 9:15 a.m.
First grade girls: 9:30 a.m.
First grade boys: 9:45 a.m.
Second grade girls: 10 a.m.
Seocnd grade boys: 10:15 a.m.
Third grade: 10:40 a.m.
Fourth grade: 11 a.m.
Fifth grade: 11:20 a.m.
Parents will not be allowed to run with the children.
A picnic will follow on the lawn before early release.
This year’s fun run is once again dedicated to helping others in need. Students are encouraged to bring one canned or non-perishable food item on race day. All food donations will be given to the local food bank.
