Oktobrufest coming to Sunset Park next weekend

ALAMOSA — Mark your Calendars for Sept. 28.

The 2019 Oktobrüfest, sponsored by the Alamosa County Chamber of Commerce, will be on Saturday, Sept. 28 from 2 – 7 p.m. at Sunset Park (just off US Hwy 285). The event will feature a variety of brewers and distillers from all over the valley (and beyond). Gosar’s Sausage, The Windsor, and Krazy Pete’s Snow Shack will also be serving throughout the duration of the event.

Adding to the expanding list of activities, there will be plenty of games, contests, and live music from Dave Mensch and Innastate. A bouncy house, giant yard games, psychic readings and chair massages will be available for the entire duration of the event. There will also be a free face painting table from 3-5 p.m. sponsored by Edward Jones, rounds of stein holding contests, a keg toss and giant beer pong sponsored by SLV Sports & Wellness, and of course a cornhole tournament (4:30 p.m.) put together by the Wet Paintbrush.

General Admission is $10 for 18 and over, VIP for $35 (includes swag, drink ticket, and VIP tent access), and kids 17 & under as well as all designated drivers will get in for free. DDs will also receive a ticket for a free non-alcoholic beverage.  Tickets can be purchased in advance at the Alamosa Chamber or at the event.
