Olive Manuelita Carmelita George

Olive Manuelita Carmelita George was born on July 9, 1930, in No Agua, N.M., to Juan Suazo and Adelia Herrera. She married Albert K. "Pepper" George on July 23, 1963, in Taos, N.M.

She was Merchant and grocery store manager as well as she owned and operated Peppers Cafe for many years. Her hobbies were cooking, crocheting, doing puzzles, reading books and she loved watching western movies and the “Price is Right.” She always made sure she prayed her rosary nightly. Her favorite thing in the world was spending time with her sons and all of her grand and great-grandchildren.

Olive is survived by her sons Julian George, Ricky (Denise) George, grandsons Jonathan and Antonio George, great-grandsons Andre, Nicholi, great-granddaughter Aaliyah, sisters Jane Pacheco, Viola Trujillo, brother Manuel Suazo. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Olive was preceded in death by her parents Juan Bautista Suazo and Adelia Ortega, loving husband Albert George, sisters Francis Gallegos and Ursula Huereña.

Vigil Service will be held on Friday, Oct. 27, 2023, at 7 p.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Mass of the Resurrection will be held on Saturday, Oct. 28, 2023, at 10 a.m. also at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Interment will follow at the La Jara Cemetery.
