“Patsy” Loretta Madril

  Longtime Antonito resident Patricia “Patsy” Loretta Madril, 74, passed away on January 2, 2022.  She was born on October 18, 1947 in Lobatos, Colorado to Nasario and Marcella (Mares) Madril.  She enjoyed being outdoors, especially picking pinon, chopping wood, joking and above all, spending time with her family.  Patsy’s home was always open to everyone. 

  Patsy is survived by her daughter Julie(Nick) Madril, her son Rodney (Sarah) Madril, her sisters, Dolores Madril-Embriz, Yolanda Madril, Rita (Jason) Kruegar, brothers, Alfred (Verna) Madril, David (Roberta) Madril, Nasario jr. (June) Madril, and Toby Madril, her grandchildren, Devin Madril, Summer Madril, Daelynn Madril, Lindsey Madril and Chloe Madril; his son/neighbor for 40 years, Gene Gevara; as well as numerous nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.

  She was preceded in death by her parents, her daughter Tammy Madril, her brothers Robert (Marietta) Madril and Roy (Viola) Madril, infant brother David, brother-in-law Vicente Embriz and her niece Kimberly Embriz.

  Cremation was selected and a Rosary will be held at 5:00 pm on Friday January 7, 2022 at Our Lady of Guadalupe in Conejos with a Mass beginning at 6:30 pm on Saturday January 8, 2022 also at the church.

  A special thank you to her children, grandchildren, sister Dolores and Niece Melissa for all the wonderful care given to Patsy.
