RIO GRANDE COUNTY — A pedestrian struck in the eastbound lane of US Highway 160 on Thursday night succumbed to their injuries.

At approximately 9:53 PM on June 10th, 2021, a pedestrian was walking in the eastbound lane of US Highway 160.  They were then struck by a vehicle traveling east on the same road. The vehicle struck the pedestrian with the right front corner. 

The pedestrian suffered fatal injuries from the incident and succumbed to their injuries on scene.  The occupants of the vehicle were not injured.

The crash is still under investigation by the Colorado State Patrol Vehicular Crimes Unit.
