People First, a group of people here in the San Luis Valley, meet together on a regular basis to advocate for each other. From the stories told at their meetings, a book was created. From 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. tonight, they will be holding an event at the Narrow Gauge Book Coop to meet with people and talk about their book, The Important Things. The book is about people and living their lives with disabilities, written in the words of the members. Narrow Gauge Book Coop is located at 602 Main Street in Alamosa.
