ALAMOSA — The Alamosa Community Greenhouse had a bumper crop of basil this year. They will be hosting a pesto making workshop this Sunday, September 9, at 3 p.m. at the Alamosa Presbyterian Church, 330 San Juan Avenue. Cost will be $10.

Participants will have the hands-on experience of processing the basil and garlic into this scrumptious culinary favorite and take home about a pound of pesto each.

In addition, a potluck supper will be held, centered around a large pot of pasta with fresh pesto. If interested in staying for the potluck, please bring a dish or beverage to share.
