“We did take a report of an individual being assaulted in the Walmart parking lot,” according to a report released by the Alamosa Police Department Chief  Ken Anderson on Dec. 10.  “This incident stemmed from the victim rubbing his hand on the trunk of the subject’s vehicle.

“The suspect, in this case, has not been located and we are still gathering information to ID.”

The victim, Joe Madrid, M.D., said his nose was broken in three places after being attacked at about 4 p.m. on Dec. 7.

“I am a 67-year-old retired physician,” Madrid said. “I was brutally attacked; this man is dangerous.”
