Preparations underway for SLV Regional Science Fair

ALAMOSA — The 69th San Luis Valley Regional Science Fair (SLVRSF) will be held March 1st and 2nd, 2018, at Plachy Hall, Adams State University, Alamosa.

All San Luis Valley students, including home schooled students and private schools ( grades 4th through 12th) are eligible to attend, students enrolled in middle school (6th – 8th ) and senior high students (9th – 12th) may visit our website – SLVRSF.org to download the required paperwork. The elementary (4th – 5th) paperwork is available on the same website.

All paperwork for Science Fair is due January 26, 2018 at the Science Fair office.

The board members of the SLERSF for the year are: Dr. David Holm, Monte Vista, president, Susan Storm, Alamosa, vice president, Jeni Jack Goodwin, Alamosa, treasurer, and Dr. Larry Sveum, Alamosa, secretary.

Other directors are: Dr. Sastry Jayanty, Alamosa, Dr. Frank Novotny, Alamosa, Andrew Valdez, Mosca, Boo Thomas, Blanca, and Jody Oaks, Alamosa.

Fundraising for the fair is now underway. Contributions are used for awards, registration fees for the students that attend the Colorado State Science Fair and all costs to attend the International Science and Engineering Fair. Contributions may be sent to:
