MONTE VISTA — Ramon Hernandez, 14, passed away far too soon on December 21, 2020. Ramon was welcomed into the world on April 28, 2006, in Alamosa, Colorado, the beloved son of Antonio Hernandez-Leyva and Josephine Dominguez Hernandez. Ramon was a loving, kind and outgoing son, brother, cousin and friend who enjoyed playing basketball, baseball, skateboarding, going hunting and fishing. Ramon truly loved to spend any of his free time with his family and friends. His curious nature and thirst for life and learning new things made him truly unique and he will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

Ramon will live on through his parents Antonio and Josephine Hernandez-Leyva of Monte Vista, CO; sisters Nayeli Hernandez, Leslye Hernandez, Sasha Hernandez, brothers Isaac Hernandez and Antonio Hernandez all of Monte Vista, CO. He is also survived by numerous grandparents,  aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Ramon was preceded in death by his grandmother Guadalupe Dominguez.

Limited viewing and visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 29, 2020, from 10-11 AM at the Romero Funeral Chapel in Alamosa. A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, December 30, 2020, at 11:00 AM at the New Life Fellowship Church in Del Norte. Interment will follow at the Del Norte Cemetery.
