Raymond Martinez, 81

Our Dad, Raymond E. Martinez was born on August 16, 1935 in San Luis, Colorado. Dad had many aliases and was known as: Pearson, Tooli, Kojak, and Nanita. Dad loved the Lord and had a mural placed on the hood of his car. Many times, our Dad kissed the hood of his car which demonstrated his love for the Lord.  Dad loved to visit with friends and family and was a regular at the Alamosa McDonald’s restaurant on most mornings. He loved to drive friends to casinos, doctor appointments, and to drive friends to grocery stores. Our Dad loved to gamble, and enjoyed fishing and hunting. Dad loved us, his children, but he enjoyed being a bachelor and he lived as a bachelor for 30 years and our Dad had a thing for cars, and as long as we can remember he wanted to buy a newer car every two years, he would shine his newly acquired car and pampered it, soon though, he would search for something new and different. We will always remember our Dad for his sense of humor, he was always happy, giving and fun to be around. Those that knew our Dad will remember him as one who loved to eat fried potatoes. He could eat fried potatoes at every meal and every day. We loved our Dad dearly and will miss his phone calls and miss his friendship, his love and laughter. We love you Dad. Rest in Peace, our beloved Dad.
