ALAMOSA – Red Cross volunteers aided the 2nd Annual “Lids for Kids” event June 29th in Alamosa to promote health, fitness and safety.

“Lids for Kids” is hosted by SLV Health to promote biking safety. Helmets were handed out and bikes were raffled off during the injury prevention outreach project. Red Cross handed out Disney coloring books and played Plenko with youth and their parents to educate them on preparedness and local hazards, gathered names for the Home Fire Campaign and supported the community alongside some of the finest emergency responders.
