Register for conservation district meeting

ALAMOSA — The annual meeting of the Mosca-Hooper Conservation District Board of Supervisors will be at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, February 27 at the Sangre De Cristo High School in Mosca. Tickets are required and include dinner and a presentation by Zeigler Geologic Consultants about aquifer mapping to find recharge “sweetspots” on your farm or ranch.

Tickets are $10 per person and must be purchased by February 19 by calling 719-937-2478. A limited number of tickets will be available at the door for $15/each until sold out. Agricultural producers who live in the Mosca-Hooper District will be offered a special deal when calling for tickets!

Citizens are encouraged to attend and offer feedback.

Mosca-Hooper Conservation District (MHCD) is a countywide district in Alamosa County established on June 7, 1943. Total acreage within the district is 462,000 acres and excludes the municipalities of Alamosa and Mosca. The mission of MHCD is to provide leadership in natural resource management for the betterment of all present and future residents of the district through education and example.
