Rice named to AMA board

CHICAGO, Ill. — Mary Rice, laboratory director at San Luis Valley Health, was elected to the American Medical Association (AMA) Alliance’s Board of Directors for a one-year term on June 13. 

She will serve as the director of the Governance Council which oversees organizational affairs. Her responsibilities will include strategic planning, oversight of the bylaws, nominating and board development committees.

The AMA Alliance is an affiliate organization of the American Medical Association.  The AMA Alliance partners with physicians to address important issue affecting the health of communities, such as the opioid crisis, physician burnout, health care legislation and various other community projects throughout the United States.
