Robert James Holland

Robert James Holland, known to many as “Bob”, departed from us on July 14th, 2021, at the age of 75.  He was born on November 15, 1945, and gifted the lives of his new parents, Mavis and Clarence Holland.  He grew up in Manassa, CO with his brother Edward Holland.  Robert was a Purple Heart Veteran who served our country during the Vietnam War.  He worked for the National Forest Service for over 20 years.  He lived in various places such as Colorado, California, New Mexico and Texas before settling in Alamosa, CO.  Robert really enjoyed the outdoors and all the activities it had to offer like hunting, fishing, camping, and sightseeing.  When he wasn’t outdoors you could find him watching a Cowboy Film with John Wayne or Clint Eastwood. 

Robert is survived by his wife, Joanna Holland, his 6 children Donny Polson, Robert W. Holland, Roger Holland, Cristie Ortega, Loretta Conaway and Clinton Holland.  He is also survived by his 6 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.  Robert has been united with his Parents, Brother, Son, Grand-daughter and great-grandson. 

The funeral Service will be on Wednesday, July 21st at 11:00 AM at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints located at 927 Weber Drive Alamosa, CO 81101.  A viewing will be at the Church from 9:30 AM – 10:45 AM.

After the service, the Burial Dedication will take place at the Manassa Cemetery located in Manassa CO.  We welcome all family and friends of Robert to the occasion of remembrance. 

Robert will be missed and is now at rest with his family on the other side.  Rest In Peace with Our Love.
