Colorado Springs former El Rito resident Roberto "Berto"Antonio Macedo, 28, passed away May 28, 2022. Roberto was born on January 13, 1994 in Ft. Hood, Texas, the beloved son of Roberto Javier Macedo and Teria Maestas Portillo.  After he graduated high school, he went on to work as a heavy equipment operator. Roberto was an exceptional man. He was a kind, devoted and selfless son,  husband, father, brother, uncle, cousin and friend. On his free time, he enjoyed going hunting, fishing, watching football and spending time with his family. His greatest joy in life came from the time he was able to spend with his wife and playing with his daughters.

 He will live on through his wife Annamarie Howard-Macedo of Colorado Springs, CO; daughters Aliszandra Macedo, Xiomara Macedo both of Colorado Springs, CO; grandparents Kathy and Charlie Maestas mother Teria (Manuel) Portillo of Fresno, CA; father Roberto Javier Macedo of Los Angeles, CA; mother and father-in-love Kimberly M. Howard and Paul J. Howard, brother-in-love Samuel (Chloe) Howard; brothers Romen Portillo of Fresno, CA; Carlos Placek of El Rito, CO; step-brother Manuel Portillo (Joclyn) of Fresno, CA; step-sister Alicia Portillo of Fresno, CA;He is also survived by many other extended family members and friends.  

Roberto was preceded in death by his grandmother Joyce Conger, great-grandmother Adelia Medina, great-aunt Marlene Fitzgerald, cousins Andrew Maestas, Benjamin Garcia and Adam Garcia.

Vigil Service with Recitation of the Rosary will be held on Friday, June 17, 2022 at 10:00 AM at Sangre De Cristo Catholic Church in San Luis. Mass of the Resurrection will follow at 10:30 AM also at Sangre De Cristo Catholic Church. Interment will follow at the San Francisco Cemetery.
