Singer-songwriter, guitarist, and pianist Robin James has been called a power-house, whose voice shoots straight to the heart.

Her musical style is influenced by the Blues, Alternative, and Country music, creating a savory mix. Her range is incredible and her vocals have been termed acrobatic. James has been compared to Linda Ronstadt, Stevie Nicks, Natalie Maines, and other artists. Her second album, Dusty Road focuses on life’s journeys, with songs that are indicative of life as it’s drawn in the dirt. It’s about love, letting go, and giving in. It’s a place where James’ soulful voice and deep lyrics take root. James won the South West Indie Award for Best Folk Song in 2016 for the title track of Dusty Road.

Robin will be joined on stage by talented cellist Mark Dudrow. Mark has played and recorded with many many artists and ensembles in the Northern New Mexico and Southern Colorado region including (but not limited to!):  Don Conoscenti,  Chipper Thompson, Mason Brown, Roger Landes, Don Richmond, Ed Caner, Radio Free Bassanda, Desert Highway, Kim and the Caballeros and the San Juan Symphony Orchestra as well as occasional classical cello/piano forays with pianist Martha Shepp! His style spans many genres and he has recently started playing with a Tango group in Taos. Mark has also played with Bone Orchard a goth-billie group from Taos and Mark played solo cello for the dedication ceremony for the designated Sand Dunes National Park. With Robin’s Powerful vocals and Marks immaculate cello playing, it is sure to be a performance not to be missed.

This is a sweets and snacks potluck. Bring a favorite healthy snack to share, and as always coffee and tea are on the house.
