Roger Gene Herrera

It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of our beloved Roger Gene Herrera.

Roger was called home on November 6, 2022. Roger was welcomed into the world on July 7, 1948, the beloved son of Ernest Herrera and Ernestine Manuelita Cordova.

Roger was united in marriage to his soul mate and love of his life Juanita Chacon on October 15, 1966. They shared a union of nothing but bliss, love and happiness for almost 60 years. He worked as an electrician for many years and was also his wife's right-hand man when it came to helping her with her daycare and getting his honey-do lists completed. He was always known for his smile and compassionate nature. He was one who helped anyone in need. When he did have free time, he enjoyed going fishing, welding, doing woodwork, going camping and watching football. He adored and cherished the time he spent with his family, especially his grandchildren. He was the best TaTa around! Roger was also a member of the Knights of Columbus in Monte Vista as well as a firefighter for the Monte Vista Fire Department. He was so loved and will be so dearly missed.
