Ronald Neil Hart

Ronald Neil Hart passed away on May 15, 2017 at his home in Monte Vista.  He was born August 10, 1931, to Howard and Dorothy (Peters) Hart.  He was a Sargent High School graduate and went to Fort Lewis College.  He worked at Sunrise Creamery and then went into construction.  Ron owned and operated Sky High Construction for 25 years before his retirement.

Ron was well known as a great dad and grandfather, brother, uncle and friend.  He loved spending time with family and he loved unconditionally.  He enjoyed having coffee with his friends at the local MV Co-op.  Some of his hobbies were working, fixing anything broken, wood working, helping anyone with a project they needed help with, creating Barbie doll beds, Christmas trees, shoe shelves and whatnot for his children and grandchildren, and holding babies.

He is survived by his wife Melody, 14 children: Charlotte (Fred) Frederick, Cindy (Jeff Lutz) Hart, Laura (Victor) Ast, Julie (Richard) Ruybal, James (Maria) Hart, Lewie (Melissa) Hart, Christy (Lee) Richardson, Dan (Karen) Hart, Tim (Ellie) Hart, Jeff (Dora) Hart, Joanna (Jason) Ogle, Lisa (Scott) Simmington, Jessica (David) Ricks, and Amy (Kenneth) Scott, 32 grandchildren and 13 Great Grandchildren.  He is also survived by a brother LaVern Hart and two sisters, Mildred Merrill and Ruth Ann (Norman) Adams.

He is preceded in death by his parents, his brothers, Ivan and Loyal, his first wife Jean (Stoeber) Hart and two granddaughters, Megan Leslie and Sarah Ricks.

There will be a Celebration of his life on Friday, May 19th at the residence of James Hart, 2483 N Hwy 285, Monte Vista at 6:00 PM.  Pot Luck, everyone welcome.

Services will be held at the Valley Church of the Nazarene, Saturday, May 20, 2017 at 10:00 AM.  Internment to follow at Monte Vista Cemetery.
