Rudy Esquibel

Our beloved Rudy Esquibel was called home for his eternal rest on Oct. 31, 2023. He passed away peacefully at his home with his loving family by his side. Rudy was born on June 4, 1942, the son of Gilbert Esquibel and Sylvania Jacquez Esquibel. Rudy was united in marriage to the love of his life Velma Atencio on Nov. 15, 1959.

Rudy was a compassionate man, an exceptional role model and the most loving husband, father, grand and great-grandfather anyone could ask for. He would give the shirt off his back to anyone in need. He was a perfectionist in all challenges in life. His most prized possession in life was his family, he LOVED spending time with every member of his family as well as his friends. He is already so dearly missed.

Survivors include his loving wife Velma Esquibel, daughter Sandra Pawloski, sons Chucky (Wendy) Esquibel, Dwight (Margarita) Esquibel, grandchildren Katerina (Nicholas)Pawloski-Johnson, Miranda (Christian) Esquibel, Natasha Pawloski, Maria Ellena Esquibel, Nikolai Pawloski, great-grandchildren Aden Gallegos, Xavior Esquibel, sister Kathy Esquibel. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Rudy was preceded in death by his parents Gilbert and Sylvania Esquibel and Selena Esquibel.

Cremation was chosen and a Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, Nov. 10, 2023, at 10 a.m. at Sangre De Cristo Catholic Church in San Luis. Burial will follow at the San Acacio Cemetery.
