Rudy LeBlanc

DEL NORTE — Del Norte resident Jose Rodolfo Ramon “Rudy” LeBlanc, 84, passed away December 31, 2020, at his home under Hospice Care with his loving family by his side. Rudy was born on February 10, 1936, in Del Norte, Colorado, the son of Epimenio LeBlanc and Diega Vigil LeBlanc. He worked for many years as a foreman for Arkansas Valley Seed. Rudy was married to Alice Gonzales LeBlanc for 54 amazing years. The two shared a long and loving union until his passing. Rudy was a kind and loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin and friend who enjoyed going for wood, going four-wheeling, fishing hunting, welding and making trailers. He was always known for his passion on being a family man and spending as much time as he could with family and friends.

Survivors include his loving wife Alice LeBlanc of Del Norte, CO; daughters Tamara LeBlanc of South Fork, CO; Phyllis LeBlanc (Joey Martinez) of Midland, TX; Jeanne (Ernie) Sanchez of Del Norte, CO; Anna (Kenneth) Salazar of Monte Vista, CO; son Henry (Merian) LeBlanc of Monte Vista, CO; 18 grandchildren, 42 great-grandchildren, sisters Inez Garcia of Riverside, CA; Mercy Zalvala of Turlock, CA; Tina Madril of Meridian, CA; sister-in-law Tina LeBlanc of Del Norte, CO; brother Phillip (Dorothy) LeBlanc of Denver, CO. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Rudy was preceded in death by his parents Epimenio and Diega LeBlanc, one daughter Gloria Gonzales, brothers Frank LeBlanc, George LeBlanc, Frudy LeBlanc, sisters Rose Hurtado and Helen Trusdale.

A Mass of the Resurrection will be held on Friday, January 8, 2021, at 11:00 AM at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Conejos. Interment to follow at the Del Norte Cemetery.
