Scholarships for MV Co-Op members and their families

The Monte Vista Cooperative Dedication to Education Foundation has announced the presentation of two of their annual scholarships. The Dennis Kay Memorial Scholarship and the Mike Kelly Memorial Scholarship.

The Dennis Kay Memorial Scholarship is a four-year agricultural scholarship meaning prospective recipients must be enrolled in an agricultural related major. The scholarship renews automatically at the end of each semester upon proof of full time enrollment and an accumulative 2.5 grade point average (GPA), in the student’s first year and 2.75 the remaining three years. The scholarship is dispersed in $500 increments at the end of each semester in the student’s first two years raising to $1,000 increments in their third and fourth years and requires consecutive enrollment the entire four years with the exception of the summer semester.

The Mike Kelly Memorial Scholarship awards in two installments of $500 in each semester pending submission of the previous semester’s grades and requires a minimum of a 2.5 GPA.

Scholarship applicants must either be a member or immediately related to a Monte Vista Co-Op member, be a high school or equivalent graduate as well as submit to an ’in-person’ interview and a transcript of current grades.
