Semi rolls on Highway 17

In this accident occurring at approximately 10:13 a.m. on Thursday, April 26, a semi truck, driven by 57-year-old Thomas Stamm of Denver, was traveling southbound on Highway 17 hauling chicken fertilizer. The truck left the right side of the roadway, overcorrected, and rolled, according to Colorado State Patrol Trooper Angela Cummings.

The driver was taken to the SLV Regional Medical Center with a laceration requiring stitches. No other vehicles or people were involved. The driver was cited for careless driving. Photos courtesy of Diantha Nipple.
