Senior center menus shared for November

VALLEY — Following are the November menus for the senior centers throughout the San Luis Valley.

Reservations are required. Call South Central Colorado Seniors at 589-4511 or sign up at the individual meal sites. All meals are served with 1-percent milk, no trans fat and no salt butter. Butter is served with bread products.

Menus are subject to change.

Thursday, November 1 — Crunchy fish, peas/carrots, creamy coleslaw, mandarin oranges, whole wheat bread

Friday, November 2 — Tostada, beef/beans, cheese, lettuce, tomato, Spanish rice, mixed fruit

Monday, November 5 — Chicken cordon bleu, brown rice, seasoned asparagus, mandarin oranges, whole wheat crackers

Tuesday, November 6 — Posole with pork, tomatoes/zucchini, sweet rice with raisins, whole wheat tortilla

Wednesday, November 7 — Baked potato with chili and cheese, carrot coins, mixed fruit, whole wheat bread

Thursday, November 8 — Baked chicken, garlic mashed potatoes, California vegetable blend, dinner roll, oatmeal cookie, plums

Friday, November 9 — Macaroni and cheese, broccoli, parsley buttered carrots, half orange, whole wheat bread

Monday, November 12 — Tuna noodle casserole, vegetable medley, tossed salad, pineapple, whole wheat crackers

Tuesday, November 13 — Swiss steak, parsley potatoes, carrot raisin salad, peaches, whole wheat roll

Wednesday, November 14 — Baked ham, mashed sweet potatoes, California vegetables, half orange, whole wheat roll

Thursday, November 15 — Beef stroganoff, Brussels sprouts, brownie/powdered sugar, whole wheat bread

Friday, November 16 — Chili relleno casserole, squash/tomatoes, whole wheat tortilla, plums

Monday, November 19 — Chicken fried steak, country gravy, mashed potatoes, cauliflower/broccoli mix, plums, whole wheat roll

Tuesday, November 20 — Pork/green chili stew with black and pinto beans, cheddar cheese sticks, zucchini fries, half orange, whole wheat tortilla

Wednesday, November 21 — Roast turkey with gravy, mashed potatoes, whole wheat roll, pumpkin custard, cranberry sauce

Thursday, November 22 — Closed for Thanksgiving

Friday, November 23 — Closed for Thanksgiving

Monday, November 26 — Lemon baked fish, tartar sauce, carrot coins, creamy coleslaw, mandarin oranges, whole wheat bread

Tuesday, November 27 — Italian sausage with marinara sauce, pasta, green bean almandine, tropical fruit, whole wheat bread

Wednesday, November 28 — French dip sandwich with au jus, oven brown potatoes, 5-way vegetables, strawberry applesauce

Thursday, November 29 — Split pea soup, chicken chef’s salad, ranch dressing, pineapple cubes, whole wheat crackers
