Seyah M. Heineman, 89, passed away April 2, 2018 at Renown Hospital in Reno, NV.

Seyah was born in La Jara, CO on Dec. 11, 1928, the daughter of Mary Chavez Martinez and Leo Martinez Sr. She graduated from La Jara High School in 1947. After graduation she managed the Willow Café, the family's restaurant in La Jara for several years until moving to California. She moved to Carson City, NV in 1956 and worked for the State of Nevada until moving to the Reno area. She married Joseph Heineman in 1980. She began working at the Club Cal-Neva in 1971 and held several positions, starting with Computer Room and Payroll and ending as Manager of Accounts Payable. In 1998 she was one of the nominees of the Nevada Women's Fund at its annual Salute to Women of Achievement. She retired from Club Cal-Neva in 2004. Since retiring she enjoyed traveling, meeting friends for lunch and keeping in touch with family and friends on Facebook.

Seyah is survived by her son Gordon E. Pratt of Sparks, NV; sisters Margie (Charles) Dorsey of Albuquerque, NM; Lela (Keith) Premer of Littleton, CO and Leah Martinez of La Jara. She is also survived by nieces and nephews, Leo (Kris) Martinez III, Emma Rae Martinez, Carla (Tim) Stephenson, Melanie Curran, Warrena Padilla, Stephanie Mora, Shelley (Darrell) Evans, Scott (Kiki) Premer and Stacey (Derek) Bennington.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Mary and Leo Martinez; her grandparents, Bertha and Benjamin Chavez and Simodosea and Federico Martinez; husband Joseph Heineman and brother Leo Martinez Jr.

A Rosary will be held at 7 p.m. Friday, April 13 at Romero Funeral Home and the Funeral Mass will be Saturday, April 14 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Conejos, CO at 10 a.m. Burial will follow at the La Jara Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Seyah's name may be made to Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church or St. Joseph's Parish (Our Lady of the Valley Catholic Church) in care of Leah Martinez, P.O. Box 367, La Jara, CO.
