ROMEO — Romeo resident Shawnae Allyssia Quintana, 23, went home to be with the Lord on October 12, 2020. Shawnae came into the world on August 24, 1997, the beloved daughter of Richard Quintana and Denise Martinez. After graduating high school, she went on to work as a dietary aide at some of our local nursing homes. She was very good at her job and loved being around the residents and helping them out any way she could. In July of this year, she gave birth to her biggest blessing, her beautiful daughter. Shawnae was kind, caring and had the most compassionate nature. She loved working with the elderly, spending time with her daughter, going camping, being with family hunting and she was an avid Denver Broncos fan. Shawnae’s time here with us was not long enough. While we will miss her every day that passes, we are grateful for the memories she left with us. We will forever keep the memory of her alive and pass all of our memories of her down to her daughter.
Survivors include her father Richard Quintana (Yolanda Garcia) of Capulin, CO; her mother Denise Martinez (Terry Cooper) of Romeo, CO; her daughter Zariah Faith Gonzales of Romeo, CO; maternal grandparents Joe and Judy Martinez of Romeo, CO; paternal grandparents Richard and Sara Quintana of Capulin, CO; sisters Amanda (Ernest) Abeyta of Manassa, CO; Lynnette Quintana, Cheyenne Quintana both of Romeo, CO; brother Donovan Lucero of Romeo, CO; Lazarus Vasquez of Romero, CO. She is also survived by one niece, two nephews, and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Shawnae was preceded in death by her son Juandiego Martinez-Quintana, paternal great-grandparents Rudy and Cora Quintana, maternal great-grandparents Elizida Martinez, Natividad and Jose Erineo Lopez.
