MONTE VISTA — The congregation at St. Stephen the Martyr Episcopal Church at the corner of Third and Washington Streets in Monte Vista will sponsor their annual Shrove Tuesday Pancake Supper on Feb. 13 beginning at 5:30 p.m. Those wishing to attend are asked to RSVP by calling 852-2865 by Feb. 11. The Ash Wednesday service will follow at 7 p.m.

The congregation will also participate, along with folks world-wide, in a Lenten study of the Gospel of Luke and the Book of Acts. This study is sponsored by The Good Book Club which provides many resources to enhance the study, all available via the internet at no cost.

The congregation invites anyone interested in exploring the entire story of Jesus’ life and the works of the early Christians to join them following each Sunday service during the season of Lent. The worship service begins at 10 a.m. with study, discussion, and light refreshments following the service.
