ALAMOSA — The SLV Big Band is calling all Veterans, active duty men and women, military families and patriotic Americans to join with them to honor our Veterans and military personnel. The band extends a most sincere invitation to all Gold Star and Blue Star families.

Since the band’s inception, their mission has been to bring Big Band Jazz and Big

Band music to the San Luis Valley as well as to promote the Importance of music in our schools. With this event, the band carries on the tradition of the Big Bands of yesterday- such as Glen Miller, Les Brown, Ray Anthony, and other Big Bands of the past.

The concert will be at Ortega Middle School Auditorium, Thursday November 11 in Alamosa. On Friday, November 12, the Big Band will play at the Central

Auditorium in Monte Vista - both at 7:00 p.m.
