SLV Brewery features ‘Campfire Faces’ art

ALAMOSA — The San Luis Valley Brewery at 631 Main Street, Alamosa, is hosting an art show by emerging local artist Linda Stephenson. It is entitled “Campfire Faces” and features portraits of famous historical western figures and some western landscapes. It will run from September until the end of December.

Stephenson minored in Fine Art at Mesa College, Grand Junction, and has been depicting western scenes including local SLV working ranches and Ski Hi rodeo performers since 1998. From large stunning oils of Mount Blanca to 8 x 10 portraits of working cowboys and girls, there is a mix of traditional and more modern colorful style.

The show is largely original oil and acrylic work framed in barnwood aged here in the Valley. She welcomes historical photos from local ranches to paint from, and credits these in her artwork. Thanks to the SLV Brewing Company for hosting local emerging artists!
