SLV COVID-19 Public Health Update - July 26, 2022

SAN LUIS VALLEY– As the school year approaches, public health officials would like to remind parents that now is a great time to catch up on regularly scheduled vaccines for children. COVID-19 vaccine may also be given during the same visit as other childhood vaccines. Contact your healthcare provider or your local public health agency if you have questions.

The prevalence of COVID-19 illness in the San Luis Valley has not changed significantly over the past week. Many of the recent infections are mild. There are  still  some local hospitalizations due to COVID-19, but they are at a manageable level. 

COVID-19 vaccines are available through local vaccine providers, and state supported mobile vaccine clinics are scheduled from 10am to 6pm at the following locations: 

  • Wednesday 7/27/22 at ASU Richardson Hall

  • Thursday 7/28/22 at the Blanca-Fort Garland Community Center

  • Friday 7/29/22 at Family Dollar in La Jara

  • Saturday 7/30/22 at Saguache Community Park

  • Sunday 7/31/22 at Migrant Head Start in Center

  • Tuesday 8/2/22 at Dollar Tree in Alamosa

  • Thursday 8/4/22 at Lu’s Main St Cafe in Blanca
