SLV Life Center prepares for Walk for Life

ALAMOSA– The SLV Life Center has plenty of activity ahead. According to Director Debora Black, the Center has plans for hosting two fundraisers this fall!  Saturday, Sept. 14 will be the Center’s annual Walk for Life event. Registration will begin at 8 a.m., and the walk will start at 8:30 a.m., at Alamosa Christian Church, located at 410 McQuerry St. in Alamosa. The Walk for Life event will also be combined with a Krispy Kreme donut sale. Donuts will also be sold on-line via the Center’s website, www.slvlifecenter.org or in the office located in the Villa Mall beginning  Aug. 12. The orders for the sale will be available for pickup on the morning of the walk.  The Center will also feature its’ annual fundraiser again in 2019. The event is set to take place on Tuesday, Oct. 22, at River of Life Church in Alamosa. Tim Moore, an associate evangelist with Lamb and Lion Ministries, will be the keynote speaker. Moore served in the U.S. Air Force as a pilot and is a graduate of the U.S. Air Force Academy. He is currently serving in the Kentucky State legislature as a representative.  The SLV Life Center is a nonprofit organization offering confidential services free of charge to honor, to uphold, to promote, to encourage, and to preserve the sacredness of human life.
