ALAMOSA – The SLV SteamShop MakerSpace, located behind Ortega Middle School, will host an introductory jewelry-scale pewter casting workshop with waste-molds and cuttlebones from 9 a.m. until noon on Saturday, June 17. The workshop is for ages 14 and up.

Participants will learn about the process of mold preparation, carving a mold, casting, and how to finish a cast metal object. Participants will leave with an original work of art that they have created.

A $10 donation is suggested to help cover the cost of materials.
