Smart DOT compliance serves motor carriers

ALAMOSA — Celebrating membership in the Alamosa County Chamber of Commerce with an April 11th ribbon cutting, Smart DOT Compliance offers a variety of motor carrier assistance services.

Owner Josi Frost operates an office out of the business complex at 6750 Cramer Road in Alamosa and may be reached at 719-588-2085 or [email protected]

Frost started the compliance assistance firm after working for a HazMat hauling company for seven years as a safety and compliance person. She has created and presented many classes over the years; handled accidents, incidents, including state and federal reporting and root cause analysis; worked with different agencies like the Department of Transportation (DOT) and Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA); and worked with insurance companies.

She knows firsthand how difficult it is to get technical support in a rural area. She is able to customize classes for drivers either at her location or the client’s and schedule times that work for the local companies.

Just a few of the classes available include: crisis management; 5800.1 reports; accident investigation; corrective action plans; incident response protocols; root cause analysis; CSA training for managers and drivers; corrective active plan assistance; assistance with USDOT numbers, MCS150 and HazMat, permits, computer classes, CSA score monitoring and recommendations, custom tracking systems, on-site DOT mock audits, new entrant help, policy and protocol development, security plans, DOT compliance program, driver qualification files, driver safety and training, E-log auditing, drug and alcohol training for drivers and reasonable suspicion training.

Frost will work with customers’ specific needs and budgets.
