CENTER — For farmers, ranchers, large or small or those who just have an interest in “Soil Health”, the Center Conservation District has set up a “Soil Health Library” in their office located at 0048 W County Road 10 N, Center.
Everyone is familiar with the term “dirt.” Flowers and gardens are planted in it. But there is “dirt” and then there is “soil.” Soil structure is very complex, and its health is key to long-term, sustainable agricultural production.
Available for checkout are numerous books on “Healthy Soil” by various authors that offer a tremendous amount of important information. Stop by the office Monday – Friday 8 a.m. – 4:30 p.m., or please call 754-3400 x108.
