REPORT FROM SOUTH FORK FIRE RESCUE:

It is with great sorrow that South Fork Fire Rescue announces the off-duty death of firefighter Chris Miyaki on April 22, 2020. Chris served as a firefighter with our department for the past year, was in the process of obtaining his Emergency Medical Technician and was actively working on expanding his wildland fire certifications. The death is currently under investigation by the Albuquerque Police Department. 

We greatly appreciate the prayers, condolences and support from the community during this difficult time for the family and members of South Fork Fire Rescue. 

Funeral arrangements are pending at this time and will be announced at a later date.
