Special Olympics bowling results

ALAMOSA— As the Adams State Event Management HPPE 305 class, we hosted the local Special Olympics bowling event on October 26, 2017 at ABC Pro Bowl. This group of ASU students dedicated eight weeks of volunteer and planning hours to get our bowlers ready for the Southeast Area Regionals in Pueblo, CO.  At the Southeast Area Regionals our athletes took 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th places in their respective divisions!  Athletes are placed in divisions by gender, age, and qualifying scores from local events.  All of our athletes’ scores went up an average of 10 points from the practices to the Regionals!

The mission of Special Olympics Colorado is to provide year-round sports training and athletic competition in a variety of Olympic-type sports for children and adults with intellectual disabilities, giving them continuing opportunities to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy and participate in sharing of gifts, skills and friendships with their families, other Special Olympics athletes and community.
