Special Toastmasters event Monday

ALAMOSA - Alamosa Toastmasters is hosting “Rock Your Interview,” a special meeting offered to the public about improving one’s interviewing skills. Just about everyone needs to interview for a job. Whether an opportunity is approaching, or you want to practice skills for the future, this meeting is a great place to start.

During the meeting, visitors will learn about how to prepare for an interview. There will be mock interviews, as well as a chance to practice with a professional interviewer. This is a low-pressure environment, in which visitors are free to participate or simply come and watch. Information about Toastmasters will also be presented, and resources offered for visitors to take home.

Toastmasters is a communication and leadership club whose aim is to help its members find the power to change, and to become all they can be in both their personal and professional life. Information about the new Pathways program, in which each member’s training can be customized to fit their own professional goals, will be presented.

The meeting is scheduled for June 18 and occurs during the normal Toastmaster meeting time, Monday at noon to one at The Bridge at Alamosa. The Bridge is located at 3407 Carroll Street in Alamosa just to the west and behind Walmart. The group will meet in the gym.
