Spines features mysteries in August

ALAMOSA — You may have finished the book you were given from the Book Bike at the Fourth of July Parade or at Sundays at Six, but there is still plenty of time for summer reading before school starts.

Check out the mystery and war/spy sections at Spines for half price books during the next sale, Saturday, August 4, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.  A reading adventure can be found in a surprise grab bag of eight paperback books for $2 or choose from a broad selection of music CDs and DVDs.

Spines is located off the alley north of the Alamosa Post Office and west of the skate park. Sorry but we cannot accept credit or debit cards.

Sales at Spines benefit the Alamosa Public Library and other literacy endeavors. Donations may be made at the library during business hours or at Spines on sale days. Members of Friends get 20 percent off their purchases at Spines.

Volunteers are needed for boxing, hauling, sorting and shelving, filling Little Free Libraries around town, and helping within the library itself. For further information, please contact Allyn at 588-9410 or Rhonda at 580-2010.
