RoundUp Demolition Derby

ALAMOSA — This year’s Round-UP Demolition Derby is going to be one for the record books. With 18 Big Cars, 26 Mini Cars and 9 Pickups, it is one of the largest derbys we’ve seen in Alamosa for a long time. The Derby action will crank up Sunday June 23 at 4:00pm.  Gates will open at 2:30pm.  The 2019 Alamosa Round-UP Demolition Derby has attracted drivers from as far as Pueblo and Colorado Springs.  With over $9000 in prize money up for grabs, the local drivers will have there hands full defending their titles.  This year Round-UP will feature 10 Lady Drivers in various heats, and 2X Champ Nyteeka Chacon will be defending her reign as Derby Champion.  There are also quite a few first time drivers. The action is sure to be exciting and the competition steep.  Don’t miss the 2019 Alamosa Round-UP Demolition Derby.

Little Laxers Clinic

ALAMOSA – Adams State Lacrosse will be putting on the Little Laxers Clinic. A great opportunity to introduce youth to the sport of Lacrosse. Boys and girls grades 4-12 are welcome at Cole Park for sessions on June 22, July 6th and July 17th. Sessions for grades 4-8 run from 8:30 - 10:30 a.m. Times for grades 9-12 will be 10:30 a.m. - 12-30 p.m. Prices are $20 per session or $50 for all three. To register fill out the registration form and submit payment at Brave No equipment and no experiece necessary.

ASU Volleyball Camps

ALAMOSA – Adams State Volleyball camps are coming up. The Grizzlies will host two different volleyball camps this summer, the Individual Skills Camp from July 8-10 and the Team Camp from July 11-13.

Camp goers can pick up skills and techniques either as a individual or as a team as both camps will garner plenty of strong competition with 5 states worth of participants taking part in the event last year.
