Alex P. Kahler tournament goes on

ALAMOSA — Cattails Golf Course is still having the Alex P. Kahler men’s stroke play tournament on August 9th-11th.Cattails is working diligently to get the entire course playable for the tournament but as of right now, it is looking like the event will be limited to the back nine only.

After hearing from the family, they stated that this is what Alex Kahler would have wanted to see, everyone rallying in work to support the course in tough years. The course is in wonderful shape other than the areas that were under water.

Be sure to register as soon as possible, since the course is operating at half capacity the tournament will be capping at 96 players.  The registration form can be found under the ‘Events’ tab at AlamosaCattails.com.  You can also call and register over the phone at (719) 589-9515.

AFRC Women’s Basketball

ALAMOSA — Women’s Basketball sign-ups to begin soon. Team Registration will begin Aug. 1st  with the captain meeting taking place on Aug. 5th at 6 p.m at the Alamosa Recreation Center. Team registration fee will be $200 and player costs will be $30. Games will run from September to early November. Flexible schedule determined by team captain. Little Laxers Clinic - Update

ALAMOSA – Adams State Lacrosse will be putting on the Little Laxers Clinic. A great opportunity to introduce youth to the sport of Lacrosse. Boys and girls grades 4-12 are welcome at Cole Park for the final session on August 17th. Sessions for grades 4-8 run from 8:30 - 10:30 a.m. Times for grades 9-12 will be 10:30 a.m. - 12-30 p.m. There is no charge for the August 17th session.
