Steven Timothy (Tim) Schmittel age 44.  The Lord called Tim home on September 3, 2021 he was doing what he loved up at Poague Lake in Colorado Mountains fishing, and hunting.  He was born in Leadville Colorado on March 6, 1977 to Steven and Vicki (Paulson) Schmittel.  He was raised in Colorado and Nevada and graduated from Albert M Lowry high school in Winnemucca, Nevada in 1996.

Tim worked in the mining industry for most of his life. Tim loved everything to do with the outdoors.

His main hobby was archery hunting.

Tim’s greatest love was his children and his newborn grandson they were his wold.   Tim always had a smile on his face and his laugh was infectious and he lived his life to the fullest.  No one was a stranger to him he made friends with whomever he met.  Tim had the biggest heart and so much love to give.

Tim is survived by his sons Wyatt (Isabelle), Tristan, daughter Kadence, parents Steve and Vicki Schmittel, sister Janell Schmittel, one grandchild Elijah, two nieces, Makenzie (Hunter) and Lexi, two great-nieces Ashten and River, along with aunts, uncles, cousins and his dog Fritz named after his grandpa Paulson.

He is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Fritz and Marjorie Paulson. His fraternal grandparents Bill and Joyce Schmittel and one cousin Christina Archuleta.

Cremation was chosen and a service will be held with the family and friends at his parents’ home on September 7, 2021, at 2:00 pm,  an additional service will be held in Winnemucca, Nevada as Tim had many friends there. To leave online condolences please go to rogersfunerals.com
