ALAMOSA — Contractors will be applying an overlay to Craft Avenue from First Street South to the Alamosa city limits. The city hopes to complete the project in two days beginning mid-day Wednesday of this week, but as with all construction the schedule is weather dependent.

The city plans to close portions and/or the entirety of the street during the day when the contractor is actually working and re-open for normal traffic at night. When access to Tremont Street is impacted, the city will provide access to homes from the closure at the south end of the project across the new part of the subdivision.
