CONEJOS — The Conejos County Sheriff’s Office received a call Tuesday on a student in possession of hand gun at North Conejos Schools.

There is not a threat to the community at this time.

The Sheriff’s Office recovered a facsimile air soft gun at an off-site location from the school.

Sheriff Crowther wants the community to know there is no threat to students or the community at this time.

The Sheriff’s Office is continuing to investigate and the appropriate charges will be filed with the District Attorney’s Office.

The Conejos Sheriff’s Office will continue to provide safety and security for its county schools.
