Tammie Marie Naranjo, 38, of Monta Vista, Colo., passed away on Sept. 12, 2023. She was born to Lisa (Grimaldo) Naranjo and Horacio Naranjo, on Sept. 6, 1985, in Alamosa, Colo.

Her true passion was fishing, wrestling and being outdoors, and what she loved the most was being with her mom, nephews, nieces, and dog Dorty Sue. She touched so many lives and had the biggest heart of gold and enjoyed making people laugh. Her favorite pastime was hanging out with family and friends, giving tattoos, and cutting hair.

Tammie is survived by her parents Lisa Naranjo (Beau Carlton) of Denver, Colo., Horacio Naranjo, Monte Vista, Colo., and step father Lester Martinez Monte Vista, Colo.; daughter Dorty Sue, brothers Michael Martinez, Monte Vista, Colo., Anthony Naranjo, Monte Vista, Colo., Dominic Naranjo, Utah, sisters Natasha (Adelmo) Dupont, Monte Vista, Colo., Vanessa Naranjo, Utah, grandparents Vickie Naranjo, Monte Vista, Colo., and Pete Grimaldo, Fresno, Calif..

Tammie was preceded in death by her Grandparents Red and Benny Naranjo, Grandfather Louis Naranjo, Great-Grandmother Deloris Boland (Sanders), Uncle Wedo Naranjo, Uncle Michael Grimaldo, Aunt Margie Grimaldo and Cousin Chuckie Sanders.

Viewing will be held on Sept. 20, 2023, from 12 to 4 p.m. at Strohmayer’s funeral Home 205 South Broadway St., Monte Vista CO. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, Sept. 21, 2023, at 10 a.m. at Grace Community Baptist Church, 403 Lincoln Ave., Monte Vista CO. Interment will follow at the Rock Creek Cemetery, Monte Vista CO.
