Teacher honored for perfect attendance

ALAMOSA — During its meeting Monday night, the Alamosa Board of Education recognized second grade teacher Ada Gonzales for staff perfect attendance for the year of 2017-2018. 

Gonzales has been teaching at Alamosa Elementary School for the past three years.   

Lori Smith, principal over kindergarten through second grade, said she’s done a fantastic job.

“She is stepping up to be a leader and taking a role in curriculum and development,” Smith said. “Thank you for doing such a fantastic job for our kids. “
